The European Green Deal -- Opportunity for Enhanced EU-China Climate Cooperation

Co-hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to China (EUD) and Energy Foundation (EF), a public event was hosted in Beijing on 13 January 2020 to present and elaborate on the European Green Deal and explore the opportunities to enhance EU-China collaboration. It also addresses the common challenges facing the European Green Deal and China's 14 Five-Year Plan and mid-century strategy.

On September 19th - 20th, the ETS Capacity Building Training in Heilongjiang Province was successfully held in the city of Harbin. At the opening ceremony, Liu Wei, vice director of Department of Ecology and Environment, attached great importance on climate change. Xu Huaqing, the director of National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC) gave a lecture on China's objectives, thoughts of coping with climate change.
