The 3rd joint meeting on a Chinese ETS Train-the-Trainer pilot programme, supported by the EU-China ETS Dialogue and Cooperation Project, were held online on Feburary 2, 2024.

The Train-the-Trainer pilot programme under the Project which is discussed on the meeting, is intended to train future Chinese emission trading trainers to pass on (cascade) the training to wider personnel involved in the monitoring and reporting of emissions from power generation (and possibly cement production) relevant to the Chinese Emissions Trading Scheme.

Following up on the topics of the last two meetings, the experts from the EU and China continued to discuss about the main issues pertinent to how best to develop and proceed with the proposed pilot programme: general training contents, intensive training contents, implementation tools and options, progress on selection of trainees,training arragemeng organisation different stages,and identification and discussion of other related issues.
